Julwin's Restaurant: A Delightful Destination for Breakfast and Brunch in Fairhope

Shrimp and grits was a first for this California girl. So glad I chose to be brave the server, Robbie was amazing and the chef Austin was so tickled that I loved his dish. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Want an amazing meal, great service, and all at the ABSOLUTE CLEANEST restaurant you'll ever see?? Go to Fairhope before 2pm, and eat at Julwin's Restaurant ! Everything was so good, and I have never seen a cleaner restaurant in my life. The wait staff was scrubbing the cracks in the chairs with nylon brushes! Not a spec of dust or dirt anywhere! I love this place!

Had a great lunch today at Julwin’s Restaurant in downtown Fairhope, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation. Julwin’s is Baldwin County’s oldest restaurant, and it’s easy to see why it has stood the test of time. The restaurant was clean, welcoming, and well kept, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly and offered great recommendations. I went with the Reuben sandwich, which he said was one of his top favorites—and he was spot on. The sandwich was delicious, perfectly prepared, and paired really well with the mustard potato salad, which was outstanding. My friends ordered the shrimp wrap and the pot roast. The shrimp wrap was solid, and the pot roast looked incredible and came with two generous sides. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked fresh and well made. One thing I really appreciate is that they serve breakfast and lunch all day, which is a big plus if you’re craving something other than traditional breakfast in the morning. Julwin’s is a classic Fairhope spot with great food, great service, and a comfortable, no-frills atmosphere. Highly recommend stopping in if you’re downtown—I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Fairhope.

The Saturday morning brunch experience was exceptional, beginning with a warm welcome from the staff and immediate seating. The culinary offerings were of high quality, particularly the country-fried steak, eggs, and hash browns, which provided a satisfying breakfast. The only aspect that detracted from the experience was the presence of crying infants.

Best breakfast in the Foley/Fair hope area. The best breakfast I've had on our trip to the area. Excellent service and the best food. Try the Sampler platter to get some of all of it. It's possible to sub biscuits and gravy for the pancakes. Best homemade biscuits.

We go out to Fairhope to the park and usually grab lunch afterwards as we live in West Mobile. We’d always do panini Pete’s, but today I searched other restaurants and came across Julwin’s. I’m so glad we did! The food was great, the people were kind, and the wait was short. When family visits soon we’ll definitely be back soon!

Delicious breakfast here today. Excellent, friendly and accommodating service too! Only comment is I’m not for certain the chicken fried steak is hand battered in house. I’ve had Sysco chicken fried steak and tasted very similar. However, it was good ((not great though). The gravy was good, eggs poached just the way I like them and good creamy grits. Husband very satisfied with his meal and said the pancakes were very good. Will definitely return on our next trip from Florida to Texas!
